  • Preparing contract documentation, performing pre-contract negotiations and drafting amendments and bespoke special conditions.

  • Resolving day-to-day issues that inevitably arise on construction projects of any size.

  • Assisting your teams to prepare or assess and resolve claims (including claims for an extension of time, variations, additional compensation and relief from contractual obligations).

  • Representing your organisation during on-project negotiations, including to resolve disputes and to re-negotiate contracts already in delivery.

  • Acting for your organisation in mediations, expert determination, litigation and arbitration proceedings (utilising the ICC, LCIA, ACICA and UNCITRAL arbitration rules). 

  • Conducting Security of Payment Act adjudications.

  • Training your project team on legal issues commonly encountered during construction projects, including:
    • negotiation planning and dispute avoidance and resolution; 
    • impact of security of payment legislation; and
    • legal privilege and "without prejudice" communications.
